2008 Technology Issues for Financial Executives
In an extensive survey of 629 CFO-level executives, "Improving data quality/information integrity" retained its position as the most pervasive critical technology concern. 2008 Catastrophe Exposure Data Quality Survey
Ernst & Young's 2008 Catastrophe Exposure Data Quality Survey contains many data quality-specific data points. While the study is insurance-centric, it demonstrates the importance of data quality in information-intensive organizations. Examples from the Resource include: "Data quality plays a role in how reinsurers price: all participants say they make premium adjustments based on (data) quality." and "Regarding any premium adjustment made for cedants with the best quality data, 26% of respondents say they are willing to offer a 10% credit or better for high-quality data."
